As the Communications Director for the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy at Florida State University, I lead strategic communications for a dynamic college encompassing 12 departments and interdisciplinary programs, 11 centers and institutes, and 5 labs. With over three years in this role, I develop and execute initiatives that connect students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external communities with the college’s mission and impact. Additionally, I oversee an internship program that provides students with hands-on experience in communications, supporting both their professional development and our outreach efforts.
Beyond my work at FSU, I am the founder and creative lead of Becs by Design, a freelance photography and design business specializing in studio portraiture, event photography, corporate branding, and presentation development. From capturing meaningful moments to crafting compelling visual narratives, I bring a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling to every project.
With 15+ years of experience in written and visual communications, I am committed to continuous learning and creating content that informs, engages, and inspires.
