Engage is FSU College of Social Sciences and Public Policy’s annual magazine for alumni and friends.
Each edition contains highlights from the college’s many student, faculty, staff, and alumni achievements during that academic year.
I redesigned the magazine when I started working for the college, with my first edition being completed in 2022. Prior to that, the college had put out seven editions.
For each Engage Magazine I developed, I served as Editor in Chief and Creative Director, completing all graphics design, as well as directing story development and editing all content.
Engage 2023-2024
The 2023-2024 Edition of Engage Magazine celebrated COSSPP's 50th Anniversary.

Previous Engage Magazine Design
Engage 2020-2021
The 2020-2021 edition of Engage Magazine was developed under the leadership of my predecessor, Rob Nixon, who served as Editor, with design by Florida State University’s Office of Creative Services.
This edition serves as a reference point for the magazine’s design before I implemented a full redesign for the 2021-2022 edition.
While the publication effectively highlighted the college’s successes, its design did not fully align with FSU’s brand guidelines, utilizing non-standard fonts and colors. Additionally, it did not take full advantage of available full-bleed layouts, which were included in the print specifications but underutilized. My redesign addressed these elements to create a more cohesive, visually engaging, and brand-compliant publication.
